West Lancs Football Team are Lancs Champs

The West Lancashire District Boys Under 11's football team are Lancashire 7 a'side champions for 2016-17.

The group is made up of players from across West Lancashire and this is the first time they have won the 7 a'side competition.

They competed against district teams form Preston, Lancaster, Blackburn, Pendle and Burnley, beating Burnley in the final on penalties as neither side could find the breakthrough goal.

The boys should be extremely proud of their efforts as a team. Player of the tournament on the day was Adam H.

Well done to everyone involved.
